Ned Thomas

Ned Thomas, AICP, currently serves as Acting City Manager and Planning Director for the City of Milpitas since August 2018. Previously, Ned held the position of Division Manager at the City of San José, where responsibilities included team leadership for the Environmental Planning team and Development Review teams, project management, and serving as Hearing Officer. Prior experience includes roles as Community Development Director for the Town of Windsor, Principal Planner for the City of Henderson, and Senior Planner for Wood Rodgers, Inc. and the City of North Las Vegas. Ned's educational background comprises a Master in Urban Planning from Harvard University and a Bachelor of Science in Geography from Brigham Young University.
