Jared Jeffries is a legal and policy professional with extensive experience in public safety and community service. Currently serving as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Community Safety in the City of Minneapolis since February 2021, Jared previously held the position of Principal Policy Aide in the Mayor's Office. Prior to this role, Jared worked as a Judicial Law Clerk at the Missouri Court of Appeals, Eastern District, and gained experience as a Law Clerk at the Law Offices of Martha M. Moran and Amy L. Gervich, where responsibilities included researching family law issues and drafting legal documents. Additional experience includes an internship for Judge Lisa Page, a role as a Legal Research Assistant at the Consumers Council of Missouri, and serving as a Legislative Assistant to Alderman Jack Coatar in the City of St. Louis. Jared's earlier career included editorial work at Newsy and hands-on construction experience. Education includes a Juris Doctor degree from Saint Louis University School of Law and a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.
