Dawn Pearson is an accomplished human resources professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Currently serving as the Human Resources Director at Minnesota Zoo since May 2023, Dawn also holds the position of Human Resources Manager for the City of Minnetonka since January 2020. Previous roles include Chief Human Resources Officer at South Central College, where responsibilities encompassed strategic direction for HR activities, personnel administration, and employee engagement from September 2015 to January 2020. Dawn's career also includes significant positions at Korn Ferry, Mayo Clinic Health System, the City of Apple Valley, Northwest Airlines, Metro Transit, and The Musicland Group. Dawn's educational background features a Doctor of Philosophy in Human Resources Development from the University of Minnesota, complemented by advanced degrees in Human Capital Management and Human Resource Leadership.
