Eric Hallstrom is an accomplished legal and operations professional with extensive experience in various governmental and legal roles. Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer for the City of Missoula since December 2021, Eric previously held positions such as Director of the Division of Operations Services at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and Deputy Commissioner at Minnesota Management & Budget. With a solid legal background, Eric served as Special Counsel to the Solicitor of Labor at the U.S. Department of Labor and Chief of Staff / Chief Counsel for Commissioner Cynthia Bauerly at the Federal Election Commission. Eric's academic achievements include a Master of Laws in Advocacy from Georgetown University Law Center, a Juris Doctor from the University of Iowa College of Law, and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Government from Augustana University. Additionally, Eric has contributed to legal education as an adjunct professor at American University Washington College of Law.
