Zac Covington currently serves as the Open Space Program Manager for the City of Missoula since October 2022. Prior to this role, Zac held the position of Planning Director at Bear River Association of Governments (BRAG) from January 2022 to October 2022, following a tenure as Sr. Regional Planner at the same organization from May 2008 to January 2022. Zac’s earlier experience includes serving as a GIS Technician for the US Forest Service from January 2007 to January 2008 and as a Research Associate at the USDA ARS Forage and Range Research Station from May 2001 to May 2007. Zac began academic pursuits in GIS as a Research Assistant at Utah State University from January 2006 to January 2007. Zac obtained a Master of Science in Bioregional Planning and a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture, both from Utah State University, adding to a strong educational foundation in landscape architecture and environmental planning.
