Daniel Davis has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. In 2000, they started their career as a Corporal Investigator / Special Operations at Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, where they worked until 2005. Daniel then joined the State of Alabama ABC Board as an Agent until 2008. From 2008 to 2013, they worked at CSX, first as a Manager Field Investigations and later as a District Manager - Risk Management. In 2017, they joined Kansas City Southern as a Sr Claim Agent until 2019. Currently, they serve as the Director of Safety Risk Management at the City of Mobile, AL.

Daniel Davis completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Justice and Public Safety from Auburn University at Montgomery in the year 2000. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career: Associate Safety Professional (ASP) from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in October 2021, OSHA 30-Hour Construction Health and Safety from the US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA in January 2021, Chlorine Response from The Chlorine Institute in June 2018, Fire Investigator from the Alabama Fire College in August 2013, and Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response from the Security and Emergency Response Training Center in June 2012.
