Sophie Cormier has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Sophie started their career in 2003 as the Executive Director of the North Pacific Historic Fishing Village, where they focused on maintaining cultural resources and improving relations with stakeholders. Subsequently, they served as the Director-Curator at the Musée Colby-Curtis Museum from 2005 to 2007. From 2007 to 2013, Sophie worked at the Canadian Museum of Civilization Corporation as the Head of the Travelling Exhibitions Service, achieving impressive booking results and establishing strong client trust. Sophie then transitioned into consulting roles from 2013 to 2017, specializing in business development, strategy, and organizational development. Sophie also gained experience in the field of culture and heritage as the Director of Culture and Heritage at the City of Moncton and as a Consultant at the Muséum de Toulouse and the CITE DE L'ESPACE. Additionally, they served as a Guest Lecturer at IAE Toulouse. Throughout their career, Sophie demonstrated expertise in strategic planning, project implementation, and multicultural management.

Sophie Cormier began their education in 1991 at Université de Sherbrooke, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History in 1994. Sophie continued their studies at Université de Sherbrooke, earning a License in Political Science and Government from 1994 to 1995. In 1995, they attended Université Laval for a year, pursuing Master Studies in History. Later, in 2014-2015, they returned to Toulouse School of Management for a Master's degree in International Management. Finally, in 2016-2017, they completed a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Strategy and International Management at Toulouse School of Management.
