Edward Belden

Monrovia Community Services Commissioner at City of Monrovia

Edward Belden is an accomplished environmental specialist with extensive experience in both public service and non-profit sectors. Currently serving as an Environmental Specialist for the City of Los Angeles Bureau of Engineering since January 2022, Edward also holds the position of Board President for Monrovia Parks, Wilderness and Recreation Foundation and serves as a Monrovia Community Services Commissioner. Previous roles include Special Projects and Partnerships Manager for the City of Los Angeles under Mayor Garcetti, as well as Southern California Program Manager for the National Forest Foundation, where Edward managed sustainable recreation and restoration projects. Edward is a founder of Peddler's Creamery, and has held leadership roles with organizations such as USGBC Los Angeles Chapter and SCALEgreen LLC. Edward's educational background includes a Master's degree in Environmental Science and Management from UCSB Bren School and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Hobart and William Smith Colleges, complemented by ongoing leadership training through the Southern California Leadership Network.
