Deborah White

Deborah White is an accomplished academic and public servant currently serving as a Councilmember for Ward 3 in Moorhead, a position held since January 2018. Deborah has been a faculty member at Minnesota State University, Moorhead since 2000, progressing from Assistant Professor to Professor of Sociology and also coordinating the NEW Leadership Northern Lights program since its inception. Prior teaching roles include instructing at The Sage Colleges and the University at Albany, where Deborah focused on research methods, political sociology, and women's studies. Deborah holds a Ph.D. in Sociology and a B.A. in Economics, both from the University at Albany.
