Sara Pizzo

Sara Pizzo, AICP, currently serves as an Associate Planner with the City of Mountlake Terrace since June 2022. Previously, Pizzo was the Public Realm Manager at The Alliance for Pioneer Square from November 2018 to June 2022, where project management and relationship cultivation with businesses and public entities were key responsibilities. Earlier experience includes roles as a Community Planning Associate at Broadview Planning, LLC, focusing on demographic analysis and community engagement strategies, a Planning Intern with the City of Dexter, and a Community Planning Intern with Community Development Advocates of Detroit. Pizzo began a foundation in facilitation and dialogue on social identities while co-facilitating an intergroup dialogue course at the University of Michigan. Pizzo holds a Bachelor of Arts in Environment and a Master's in Urban Planning with a Community Development focus from the University of Michigan.
