Erika Mashig is an accomplished landscape architect and manager with extensive experience in parks and open space planning. Currently serving as the Manager of Parks & Open Space Planning, Design + Construction at the City of New Westminster since February 2014, Erika has also held various managerial roles focused on arboriculture and horticulture. Prior to this, Erika worked as a Senior Landscape Architect at Hapa Collaborative and as a Landscape Architect at Phillips Farevaag Smallenberg. Erika's educational background includes a Master of Landscape Architecture from The University of British Columbia, along with studies at Wageningen University & Research, Columbia University, the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, and Boston University, encompassing topics such as climate change and forest management.
