Michael Witherspoon

Michael Witherspoon is an accomplished IT professional with extensive experience in database administration and UNIX systems management. Currently serving as a Computer Systems Manager and Senior DBA at The City of New York - Financial Information Services Agency since April 2006, Witherspoon has also held key positions at Bank of New York as Assistant Vice President of IT, and at Edison Schools Inc. as Senior Database Administrator. Previous roles include significant leadership and technical responsibilities at Dresdner Kleinwort Benson, Lifetime Television, Citicorp, Abraham & Straus, and Frederick Atkins Inc. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Long Island University, Witherspoon has developed a robust expertise in managing complex IT operations throughout a multi-decade career.
