Ricky M. da Costa

Ricky M. Da Costa is an experienced public affairs professional currently serving as the Deputy Comptroller for Public Affairs for the City of New York since January 2022. In this role, Ricky manages the bureau responsible for liaising with the public, mayoral agencies, and governmental authorities while leading strategic community engagement efforts. Previously, Ricky held positions such as Political Director for Lander for NYC, where political strategy and endorsements were managed, and Assistant Vice President of Government & Community Relations at the New York City Economic Development Corporation, focusing on stakeholder engagement and project implementation. Ricky's extensive background also includes roles in the Office of the Mayor of New York City, where responsibilities ranged from overseeing community affairs initiatives to coordinating scheduling and administrative logistics for the Mayor’s Chief of Staff. Ricky holds a BA in History and Geography from Binghamton University.
