William Roche

William (Will) Roche, MBA, CPRE, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Parks for the City of Newport News since December 2018. Prior to this role, William held the position of Parks and Recreation Manager for the City of Duluth, where a strategic repositioning of services addressed community needs. As Senior Manager of Program Management at the Eppley Institute, oversight of strategic planning and marketing efforts for parks and land management agencies was performed. William also served as the first Superintendent of Parks and Recreation for Hendricks County, leading the agency to exceed annual and long-term goals, and as Director in Clare County, where a new parks department was established. Education includes an MBA from Butler University, a Master of Arts in Recreation Administration, and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Outdoor Recreation from Central Michigan University.
