Keith Meyerl, CPRP, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Parks and Recreation for the City of Panama City Beach Government since May 2023. Prior to this role, Keith held significant positions at the City of Jacksonville, including Chief of Recreation and Community Programming Division and Parks District Manager from April 2014 to March 2023. Keith's educational background includes a Master's Program in Physical Education, Exercise and Sports Science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (1990 - 1991) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the same institution (1985 - 1988).

City of Panama City Beach Government
Panama City Beach is a home-rule city with a Council-City Manager form of government. The City Council is made up of five members -- a mayor and four council members; one council member is elected from each of the four wards but all are elected at-large. As of early 2020 the City of Panama City Beach employs about 350 people. The City pays health and vision insurance for employees and offers dental, life and other benefits. The City has a pension plan and provides generous PTO days and 14 paid holidays, including your birthday. The 2020 Census put the City's population at over 18,000 people. The white sandy beaches and emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico attracted more than 4 million visitors in 2018, making the City a major tourist destination.
