Vidal Sipe

Vidal Sipe has a diverse and extensive work experience. Vidal began their career in 1998 as a Public Safety Officer at the Morganton Department of Public Safety. In 2000, they joined the City Of Hickory as a Police Captain, a role they held for nearly 19 years until 2019. During this time, they also served in the United States Army Reserve as a Sergeant First Class from 2008 to 2012. Prior to that, they were a Military Police Sergeant in the US Army for 18 years, starting in 1990. In February 2019, they became the Chief of Police at the City of Newton, NC.
