Bob Avery

Bob Avery is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in systems analysis and management. Currently serving as a Senior Microcomputer Systems Analyst for the City of Norfolk since July 2013, Bob is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the IT infrastructure at Norfolk Public Library locations. Prior roles include Manager of Information Systems for Southeastern Cooperative Educational Programs from May 2003 to July 2013, where Bob oversaw technology services. Additional experience includes positions as Systems Engineer for Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Network Technician and Webmaster for the City of Virginia Beach Commissioner of the Revenue, and various volunteer roles in political campaigns. Bob's educational background includes studies at Louisiana State University and attendance at De La Salle High School and Christian Brothers School in New Orleans.
