Nate Carlson, EDFP, has extensive experience in economic development, currently serving as the Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Northfield since December 2016. In this role, Nate is responsible for the development and implementation of programs aimed at business retention, expansion, and job growth, while also supervising the economic development staff and the Economic Development Authority (EDA). Prior to this position, Nate served as the Executive Director of the Pine Island EDA from June 2015 to December 2016, where initiatives were developed for marketing and business recruitment. Additionally, Nate held the position of Treasurer for the St. Olaf Touchdown Club from September 2017 to September 2023, managing finances and fundraising efforts. Nate holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Public Policy, and Race and Ethnic Studies from St. Olaf College, obtained in 2015.
