City of Norwich School, known locally as CNS, is a popular and well-regarded secondary school and sixth form that was established in 1910 and that has been a key part of the educational landscape of Norwich ever since.  Part of Ormiston Academies Trust, we are a vibrant and forward-thinking academy, with high expectations for all our students and staff. 

At the very heart of our ethos is being a truly comprehensive school that supports the care and development of the whole individual, in a happy and diverse community that instils pride in all its members.  We aim to enable every student to maximise their potential and prepare them for their future through the provision of high-quality education.

Our location and facilities are second to none. Set in the historic city of Norwich, our school has benefited from considerable investment over the last few years. Alongside the beautiful, original main school building, we have a modern, purpose-built sixth form block, a show-piece auditorium for music, dance and drama and newly refurbished, specialist outdoor sporting facilities.

Our vision is to be a centre of pride for the local community, and this is achieved in part through our many partnerships including the Guildhall School  of Music and Drama, the Duke of Edinburgh Awards Scheme, Norwich City Football Club and the National Tennis Association.
