Steven Gold

Steven Gold has extensive experience in consulting and public service. As Principal at SJG Consultants since 1991, Steven specializes in data center design, HVAC, critical power systems, and disaster recovery planning. Steven has been serving as Commissioner on the Recycling & Environmental Conservation Commission for the City of Oak Park since 2019 and previously held the role of City Commissioner & Chairman of the Communications Commission from 2012 to 2018. Additionally, Steven is the Executive Vice President and a founding board member of the 7x24 Exchange SE Michigan Chapter, advocating for mission-critical infrastructures. Steven has also played significant roles in the Michigan Dance Heritage organization and the OCTDS non-profit, focusing on traditional dance and music in Southeast Michigan. With a strong educational background from Wayne State University and Lawrence Technological University, Steven's career includes leadership positions in data centers and software development at institutions such as the University of Michigan and Merit Network.
