Emylene Aspilla

Emylene Aspilla is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in leadership roles focused on workplace standards, social responsibility, and community sustainability. Currently serving as the Director of the Department of Workplace and Employment Standards for the City of Oakland since September 2022, Emylene previously held significant positions including Director of Social Responsibility and Community Sustainability for the San Francisco International Airport from April 2015 to May 2022, and Director of Strategic Initiatives for the City and County of San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development from July 2012 to April 2015. Emylene's earlier roles include Chief Program Officer at JVS - Jewish Vocational Service and Employment and Training Manager at the Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corporation, along with serving as Education Manager at Episcopal Community Services of San Francisco.
