Sarah Chao

Sarah Chao has worked in various roles over the years. Sarah started their career as a Mental Health Counselor at Asian Human Services, Inc. in 2006. From 2007 to 2008, they interned at Ounce of Prevention Fund as a Kids PEPP Intern. In 2008, they joined CASAColumbia as a Research and Data Analyst. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Data and Evaluation Specialist at Tandem: Partners in Early Learning. In 2014, they also had roles as a Survey Consultant at Guidepoint Global and a Data Analyst Consultant at Advocates for Children of New York. In 2014-2015, they served as an Analyst Fellow at Education Pioneers. From 2016 to 2017, they were a Market Research Analyst at Guidepoint. Sarah then joined the City of Oakland in 2017 and held roles as the Head Start ERSEA and Data Program Coordinator, and later as the Head Start Data Coordinator.

Sarah Chao holds a B.A. degree in Sociology and Communications from Wheaton College. Sarah also obtained an M.A. degree in Social Service Administration/Policy from the University of Chicago.
