Howard J. Bailey

Howard J. Bailey has extensive work experience in the field of firefighting and emergency services. Howard J. currently works as the Fire Chief for the City of Ormond Beach, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director/Fire Chief for Volusia County Government from 2019 to 2022. Howard J. also held the roles of Deputy Fire Chief, Division Chief, Captain, and Firefighter/EMT during their tenure with Volusia County Government, starting from 1992.

In addition to their roles in the government sector, Bailey has also worked in the educational field. Howard J. served as an Adjunct Instructor in Fire Science at Daytona State College from 1997 to 2022. Howard J. also worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University from 2011 to 2019, and as an Adjunct Instructor in Fire/EMS at Flagler Technical Institute from 2007 to 2017.

Howard J. Bailey obtained a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management from Warner University in 2003. Following this, they pursued a Master's Degree in Public Administration at the University of Central Florida, completing it in 2006. It is not clear when Howard attended Daytona State College or if they obtained a degree from there. Additionally, they have another Bachelor's degree from Warner University, but the field of study for this degree is unknown.
