Howard J. Bailey has extensive work experience in the field of firefighting and emergency services. Howard J. currently works as the Fire Chief for the City of Ormond Beach, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Director/Fire Chief for Volusia County Government from 2019 to 2022. Howard J. also held the roles of Deputy Fire Chief, Division Chief, Captain, and Firefighter/EMT during their tenure with Volusia County Government, starting from 1992.
