Angelo Phillips has over 25 years of experience in safety and loss prevention management, currently serving as the Administrator of Safety & Loss Prevention for the City of Overland Park since August 2004. In this role, Angelo manages safety and workers' compensation programs, ensures compliance with safety standards and regulations, investigates workplace incidents, and conducts risk assessments. Notable accomplishments include establishing an Ergonomic Program that reduced musculoskeletal disorders by 25% and implementing a Defensive Driving Program that decreased vehicle incident frequency by 40%. Prior to this, Angelo held safety management positions at The Pork Group, Inc. and Tyson Foods, Inc., where significant achievements included winning a Corporate Excellence in Safety Award and achieving substantial reductions in incident frequency and severity rates. Angelo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff.
