Tim Kelley

Commander, Special Operations at City of Oxnard

Commander Tim Kelley began his career with the Oxnard Police Department in 1996. Commander Kelley worked as a patrol officer, served as a Field Training Officer, and spent two years with the Special Enforcement Unit before his promotion to Senior Officer where he continued to work with the Special Enforcement Unit. Commander Kelley was promoted to the rank of Sergeant in 2006. As a Sergeant, Commander Kelley worked as the Administrative Services Training Sergeant, District Three Sergeant, Patrol Sergeant, Special Enforcement Unit Sergeant, Administrative Patrol Support Sergeant, Internal Affairs Sergeant and, the Force Options Unit Sergeant.

As a Commander assigned to the Field Services Bureau, he currently oversees the Special Operations Division. His other assignments include overseeing the Force Options Unit, K9 Unit, Crisis Negotiations Team and, the Range Unit.
