Stefanie Wilcox has a diverse work experience spanning over the past two decades. Stefanie began their career in 2001 as an Administrative Assistant at American Water and later moved on to become an Employee Benefits Administrator at the City of Carmel in 2004. In 2005, they joined AMERIND Risk as an HR Director, where they stayed until 2013. During this time, they then transitioned to a Director of Human Resources role at Henry A Petter Supply Company, where they worked for almost six years. In 2019, they worked as a Benefit Associate Risk Advisor at Peel & Holland before becoming the Director of Human Resources at the City of Paducah later that year.
Stefanie Wilcox attended Indiana University Bloomington from 1997 to 2001, where they obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Affairs, with a focus on Legal Studies, General.

Paducah is the only incorporated community in McCracken County, Kentucky. Paducah is uniquely located along the Ohio River at the confluence of the Tennessee River. Paducah is situated half way between St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee along Interstate-24.
