Jose Garcia

Jose Garcia is a seasoned library professional with extensive experience in management and community engagement. Currently serving as the Regional Manager at The Seattle Public Library since July 2022, Jose advocates for staff success and co-designs community programs with an equity focus. Prior experience includes roles as the Librarian Services Manager and Supervising Librarian at King County Library System, where Jose led staff supervision, coordinated programs, and maintained community partnerships. Early career positions include Teen Services Librarian and Children's Librarian at the Mid Columbia Library System, along with expertise as a Spanish Outreach Specialist. Jose's foundational education includes a Master of Arts in Library and Information Science from the University of Arizona and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from Washington State University Tri-Cities.
