Andrew Mills has an extensive work experience in law enforcement. Andrew currently serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Palm Springs since 2021. Prior to this, they held the same role at the Santa Cruz Police Department from 2017 to 2021 and the Eureka Police Department from 2013 to 2017. Andrew started their career at the San Diego Police Department in 2007, where they served as a Captain from 2011 to 2013 and held leadership positions as Lieutenant in Criminal Intelligence and Gang Investigations. Additionally, they were part of the Major Cities Chief's Intelligence Commanders Group from 2009 to 2012.

Andrew Mills obtained a Bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Andrew also received a diploma in Pastoral Theology from Grand Rapids School of Bible and Music. Additionally, they completed the FBI NA 250 course, however, no degree or field of study information was provided for this.
