Eric Plummer

Eric Plummer, Ph.D., currently serves as a Senior Lecturer at the UVA Center for Public Safety and Justice since January 2023 and holds the position of Chief of Police at Radford University since March 2021, overseeing the Department of Public Safety. With extensive experience in law enforcement, Eric Plummer has previously held significant roles such as Associate Vice President for Public Safety at the University of North Dakota, System Chief of Police at Southern Arkansas University System, and Chief of Police with the Florida Highway Patrol. Additionally, Eric Plummer has served as an Agency Instructor with the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service and has a military background as an Intelligence Analyst in the US Army Reserves. Educationally, Eric Plummer earned a Ph.D. in Public Safety - Emergency Management from Capella University and holds a Master's in Management from the University of Phoenix as well as a Bachelor's in Sociology from the University of Central Arkansas.
