J Daniel DeSelms, MPA, CEM, currently serves as the Emergency Operations Manager for the City of Palm Springs, a position held since August 2019. Prior to this role, J Daniel DeSelms was the Emergency Management Director for the United States Marine Corps from July 1998 to August 2019. J Daniel DeSelms holds a Master of Public Administration in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from American Military University, where studies were completed between 2019 and 2022, and a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, J Daniel DeSelms has pursued education through FEMA EMI and the Domestic Preparedness Consortium.
