Lawrence Lurvey MD, JD, MEd, FACOG currently serves as a Commissioner on the Community Police Oversight Commission for the City of Pasadena since June 2021. Lurvey has maintained a longstanding role as a Fellow with the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) since October 2003, while also working as a Physician at Kaiser Permanente since November 1997. Lurvey's educational background includes an Executive Leadership Program at Harvard Business School in 2019, a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Urbana-Champaign, a JD from the University of Illinois College of Law, a Master of Education from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Chicago.
