Michael Paliwoda has extensive experience in the field of human resources. From 2014 to the present, they have worked for the City of Pasadena, starting as a Staff Assistant III (Human Resources-Benefits) before progressing to become a Human Resources Analyst, Senior Human Resources Analyst, and presently the Principal Human Resources Analyst. During this time, they also served as the Acting Benefits Supervisor from June 2016 to November 2016. Prior to joining the City of Pasadena, Michael worked as a Human Resources Assistant (Benefits Administrator) for Professional Security Consultants, Inc. from September 2011 to February 2014.
Michael Paliwoda completed their Bachelor of Business Administration degree at the University of California, Riverside from 2006 to 2010. Michael then pursued a Master of Public Administration degree at California State University, Northridge from 2015 to 2017. In addition, they obtained a Labor Relations Master Certification (CLRM) from the California Public Employers Labor Relations Association (CALPELRA) in 2022.
