Paul Novak

Paul Novak is an experienced executive in land-use planning and municipal service regulation, currently serving as the Executive Officer for the Local Agency Formation Commission for the County of Los Angeles since 2011. In addition to this role, Paul has held positions including Zoning Hearing Officer for the City of Pasadena, Hearing Officer for the City of San Marino, and Board Member for the State of California Board for Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors, and Geologists. Paul has also contributed to academia as an Adjunct Instructor at both UCLA and UC Davis, as well as an Adjunct Associate Professor at USC, where courses focused on planning and development processes. Previously, Paul has served as Principal of Novak + Associates, Inc. and as a Senior Deputy/Planning Deputy for Los Angeles County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Claremont McKenna College and a Master's degree in Real Estate Development from the University of Southern California.
