Danita Reese has held various roles throughout their work experience. Danita currently works for the City of Philadelphia as the Deputy Director of Strategic Design, leading all aspects of project life cycles to make government service delivery more accessible and equitable. Prior to this, they served as the Lead Service Design Strategist and Service Design Strategist for the same organization. Danita has also worked as a Guest Lecturer at Temple University and Thomas Jefferson University, where they shared practical tips and strategies for advertising and sustainability. Danita gained research experience as a Research Engineer at Qurate Retail Group, conducting studies to improve the digital shopping experience. In their earlier career, they held communication roles at Capital One and AmeriHealth Caritas, providing support and counsel for various teams. Danita started their career at Resources for Human Development, where they developed targeted communications strategies and tactics to engage employees. Additionally, Danita worked part-time at IKEA Group and gained experience as an Administrative Assistant at CDI. Danita began their career as a Coordinator at LECG.

Danita Reese received their B.A. degree in Public Relations and Political Science from the University of South Carolina in 2002. Danita then pursued a Strategic Design MBA in Business Administration from Philadelphia University (now Thomas Jefferson University) from 2015 to 2017. Prior to their university education, they attended Pickens High School from 1994 to 1998. In 2016, they also obtained a Certificate in Project Management from Temple University.
