George Mateo

George Mateo is a seasoned forensic scientist currently employed by the City of Philadelphia since October 2021. Prior experience includes a substantial tenure at Temple University from June 2006 to March 2021 as a research associate, where contributions to drug discovery projects were made while serving as a senior peptide synthesis technician. Alongside this role, George also acted as a laboratory manager at Sbarro Health Research Organization, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and managing laboratory inventories. Prior military experience includes serving as a chemical operations NCO in the United States Army Reserve from 1998 to 2010. George holds a Bachelor of Arts in Natural Sciences with a concentration in Chemistry from Temple University and an Associate of Science in Chemistry/Chemical Technology from the Community College of Philadelphia.
