Mervisa Johnson

Mervisa Johnson, MBA, CPA, currently serves as the Deputy Finance Director for the City of Philadelphia since April 2019, and previously held the position of Director of Compliance and Internal Controls. Mervisa has extensive experience in financial management and risk assessment, with prior roles including Global Risk Manager at BlackRock from March 2016 to April 2019, Senior Auditor at KPMG US from July 2014 to March 2016, and Auditor in Investment Management at PwC from January 2012 to July 2014. Mervisa began the professional journey as a VITA Tax Intern at the University of Scranton, where tax preparations were conducted for multiple states. Mervisa holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from the University of Scranton, as well as an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Lehigh Carbon Community College.
