Shawn Berven

Shawn Berven is a seasoned UX professional with extensive experience in leading design and strategy initiatives across various sectors. Currently serving as the Head of UX Strategy and Design for Institutional B2B & B2C at Vanguard since March 2020, Shawn oversees a large team responsible for enhancing client and participant experiences in financial services. Prior roles include Principal UX Designer at Elsevier, where product strategy and design were focused on ClinicalKey, and multiple leadership positions at Johnson & Johnson within the Diabetes Care division, leveraging Design Thinking methodologies to enhance health and wellness solutions. Additionally, Shawn contributes to the design community through mentorship at adplist.org and participation in the Design Leadership Forum. An MBA graduate from Thomas Jefferson University, Shawn also holds a BA in Business from Linfield University, complemented by minors in Fine Arts and English.
