Kim Vogel

Kim Vogel has extensive work experience in various roles. Kim started their career in 1999 at the City of Pittsburg, KS, where they initially served as a Recreation Superintendent from May 1999 to July 2010. Kim then progressed to become the Director of Parks and Recreation from July 2010 until October 2021. Additionally, they took on the role of Human Resources Director in October 2021 and continues to hold this position. In 2008, Kim Vogel also owned and operated Party Supplies Unlimited from October 2008 to May 2012.

Kim Vogel obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Parks, Recreation, and Leisure Studies from Pittsburg State University in the years 1994 to 1999. Later, from 2013 to 2014, they pursued a Master's degree in the same field at the same university. In 2015, Kim completed the Certified Public Managers Program and received a Certificate from The University of Kansas Public Management Center. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including the SHRM - Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) from SHRM in 2023, the Aquatic Facility Operator (AFO) certification from the National Recreation and Park Association in 2021, and the Certified Playground Safety Inspector certification from the same institution in March 2021.
