Valessa Gutierrez

Valessa Gutierrez is an experienced Human Resources professional currently serving as the Human Resources Manager for the City of Plainview since March 2022. In addition to this role, Valessa has held various positions at Wayland Baptist University, including Adjunct Professor, Human Resources Support Specialist, and Administrative Assistant, starting in August 2017. Previous experience includes over 16 years at Walmart as a Transportation Safety Coordinator and in Transportation Customer Service, as well as service in the United States Army Reserve as a Surgical Technologist from September 2002 to September 2004. Valessa holds both a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Human Resources Management and Services and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Health Care Administration from Wayland Baptist University.
