Darion Jones

Darion Jones is an accomplished professional in the field of arts, culture, and public policy, currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Office of Arts & Culture for the City of Portland since June 2021, where responsibilities include oversight of programs and strategic initiatives. Previously, Darion held multiple roles in the Office of Portland City Commissioner Dan Ryan, including Senior Policy Director, focusing on public art policy and equitable grantmaking. Experience also includes a position as Communications & Engagement Specialist at Meyer Memorial Trust, and active involvement in community organizations such as the Q Center and Sankofa Collective Northwest. Darion holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Communication from Portland State University and has a strong foundation in communications and community engagement, nurturing relationships across various levels of government and diverse stakeholders.
