Sherri Neil has extensive experience in governmental affairs and legislative management. Currently serving as the Manager of Governmental Affairs for the City of Portsmouth since November 2012, Sherri has been with the City since November 2004 as a Senior Legislative & Management Analyst. Prior experience includes working as Chief of Staff and Legislative Liaison for Senator W. Henry Maxwell from December 1989 to December 2003, where responsibilities included managing the Senator's offices, researching and developing legislative packages, writing speeches, and providing constituent services. Sherri holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Old Dominion University, obtained between 1989 and 1995.
