Jim Silveria

Jim Silveria has an extensive work experience in the field of Information Technology. Jim began their career as Deputy CIO at the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, Department of Transportation in 2001 and continued in this role until 2005. Jim was then promoted to the position of CIO and held this role until 2008. In 2009, Jim joined the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) as their CIO, where they worked until September 2009. After leaving MSBA, they joined the Rhode Island Public Defender as their IT Director and remained in this position until 2011. Since 2011, Jim has been working as the CIO for the City of Providence.

Jim Silveria attended the University of Massachusetts Lowell from 1989 to 1993. Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
