Terry McCarthy

Terry McCarthy is an experienced leader with a diverse background in public service and information security. Currently serving as President of the Wastewater Commission and a member of the Water Commission for the City of Racine, Terry has a strong focus on wastewater technical planning, budget oversight, and public engagement. A six-term alderman, Terry has held various leadership roles within the City Council, demonstrating expertise in advocacy, ordinance review, and community development. Previously, at VW Credit, Inc., Terry functioned as an Information Risk Manager and CISO, overseeing IT security and compliance. With a robust foundation in management from Volkswagen and Great Lakes Gas Transmission, Terry also holds a Master’s Degree in Freshwater Sciences & Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
