Andrea Alvare

Andrea Alvare, MPH, MPA, CHES, H.O. serves as the Director and Health Officer for the City of Rahway since February 2023, following a significant tenure as the Director and Health Officer at the Union County Office of Health Management from December 2013 to February 2023. Andrea's experience includes roles as a Public Health Planner and Community Service Aide within the same office, along with a position as a Graduate Research Assistant at Montclair State University from September 2018 to May 2020. Earlier career experience includes an internship at the Union County Office of Emergency Management in 2013. Andrea holds a Master of Public Health and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Montclair State University and Kean University, respectively, along with a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from Kean University.
