Briana Scurry

Briana Scurry currently serves as Assistant Director of Equity & Inclusion for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government and is a BPCNet Consultant for the Computing Research Association, where responsibilities include supporting higher education programs to enhance representation and retention in computer science. Previously, Scurry was the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead at UNC Department of Computer Science, directing initiatives to foster a sense of belonging for historically excluded identities. Additionally, Scurry has held various roles at Duke University, including Residence Coordinator and Staff Training Coordinator, and has experience from positions at Ohio Northern University, Baltimore County Public Schools, Sid Jacobson JCC, and YMCA of the USA. Scurry holds a Master of Arts in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the New York Institute of Technology.
