Mark Wittenburg

Mark Wittenburg has extensive experience in the field of information technology. Mark has held various roles in both the public and private sectors.

Mark started their career with the City of Tempe in 1992, where they served as an IT Manager. In this role, they oversaw the Infrastructure and Operations sections within the centralized Tempe Information Technology Division. Mark managed the staff resources, budgets, and asset lifecycle planning of the division.

In 2018, Mark joined the University of Phoenix as an Adjunct Instructor in the Information Systems college. Mark taught courses on Computer Networking and Information Security, covering topics such as network building blocks, security measures, and protection against intrusions and hacking.

Currently, Mark is the Chief Information Officer at the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, a position they assumed in 2022. In this role, they are responsible for managing the city's information technology initiatives.
