Melanie Rausch

Melanie Rausch is an experienced urban and environmental planner currently serving as a Senior Transit Planner at the City of Raleigh Municipal Government since June 2022. Prior roles include Transit Planner at the same agency and Planner I at McAdams. Rausch began a career in planning at the Town of Wake Forest as a Planner I focusing on long-range projects and has held various positions including Production Manager at Georgia Sourdough Company and Graduate Student Researcher at the University of Georgia. Previous experience also includes roles at Pike Nurseries as a Sales Specialist and as a Research Consultant for NASA. Rausch's educational background includes a Master’s Degree in Environmental Planning and Design from the University of Georgia and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from the same institution.
