Sharnell Jones

Sharnell Jones, MPA, PHR, currently serves as the Human Resources Director for the City of Raleigh Municipal Government, overseeing staff supervision, performance evaluations, and strategic planning within the department. With previous experience as Human Resources Director at Capitol Broadcasting Company, Sharnell focused on enhancing the employee life cycle and ensuring legal compliance. At Umicore, Sharnell was responsible for managing HR programs across North America, including talent management and learning strategies. Additional roles include Employee Relations at NetApp, Assistant Director of Human Resources back at the City of Raleigh, and various HR positions in other organizations. Sharnell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master of Public Administration from North Carolina Central University.
