Mike Marchand

Mike Marchand has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Mike currently holds the position of Chief Information Officer at the City of Redmond, WA. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Enterprise Technology Services at Central Washington University from 2018 to 2021.

Before joining Central Washington University, Mike worked at the University of San Diego as the Client Support Services Manager from 2012 to 2018.

Mike also has experience in the corporate sector, where they served as an IT Manager at Mogo Financial, Inc. from 2009 to 2012. During their time at Mogo Financial, they played a vital role in various significant projects such as transitioning IT infrastructure to a fully-managed outsourced service provider and implementing an IT Service Desk.

Mike also worked as an IT Manager at The Active Network from 2008 to 2009, where they successfully established a central IT Service Desk and managed a diverse team across different countries including Canada, the United States, and China.

In addition, Mike has previous experience in the education sector, having served as a Systems Manager at the University of Nevada Las Vegas from 2006 to 2008, and as a Systems Administrator from 2004 to 2006.

Mike began their career as a Network Administrator at Tempest Development Group from 1995 to 2004 and also worked as a Computer Specialist at London Drugs from 1994 to 1996.

Mike Marchand has a Bachelor of Computer Information Systems from the University of the Fraser Valley and a Master of Science in Information Technology & Administrative Management from Central Washington University.
