Bill Hobgood

Bill Hobgood brings over 50 years of experience in public safety communications, including notable roles such as Technology Lead for the City of Richmond and Independent Consultant with L.W. Hobgood Jr., Ltd. Since 2017, Bill has contributed as a Senior Implementation Consultant on the ASAP to PSAP Program. Bill's significant achievements include developing the first CAD system for Richmond, which was operational for 26 years, and managing its replacement with an Intergraph CAD system in 2007. Prior to these roles, Bill served as a Police Dispatcher with VCU Police from June 1972 to August 1974. After retiring from full-time service in 2017, Bill continues to assist with special projects for the City of Richmond.
